Under the moonlight;
Tales were whispered,
Tales that shook both ears and eyes,
Tales that hinted about lessons to be learnt,
That fully painted heroes as saints,
Tales made to build a man fell on deaf ears,
Ancient respect damaged and vanished into thin air.
Under the moonlight;
The leaves were silent and cooperative,
Who it was no longer who it became,
The wind who read souls damaged by hope;
Defiled and embraced by chaos hold?
Tempted strangers with its calm and sensuality,
The night her moment into glory.
Under the moonlight;
Was truth’s first manifestation echoing for appraisal,
A time gods and customs reigned,
As man lived so did Divinities,
The trees spoke of life as birds soared the sky,
Man hunted, fed and gave thanks,
Our beliefs an identity totaling our entirety.
Under the moonlight;
Flames lit its fire,
Essence birthed understanding for balance,
Cycles and phases orally exposed by stories,
Music engrossed the feet in dialogues,
Laughter stole from happiness plate,
There was life again,
Thoughts of the days end buried in merriment,
The moon, luminescent.
